Hanger, Inc., a leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) patient care services and products, is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join its Marketing and Communications Team to write and create organic content for Hanger’s ecosystem of diversified companies. In this role, you will develop strategic organic content to amplify brand messaging across various external channels. This includes, but is not limited to, drafting content for social media, blogs, websites, e-mails, print collateral, and more.

Reporting to the Manager of Communications, the Marketing Communications Specialist must be a talented writer and self-starter with a marketing or communications background, possessing solid organization, project management, and content creation skills. The candidate for this position is ideally located in Austin, TX. Remote candidates will also be considered.

Your Impact

Execute external communications activities that advance the goals of Hanger and meet strategic objectives
Research, generate, edit, and publish social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to drive engagement with a call to action, build brand awareness, support business goals, and create meaningful connections
Write assigned long- and short-form content as needed (website content, email content, blog posts, social media posts, referral partner collateral, patient support collateral, etc.)
Contribute to and manage content calendars to ensure timely drafting, review, and publication of content
Collaborate with content writers, product managers, graphic designers, digital marketers, and videographers on the Marketing and Communications Team on multi-channel execution
Assist as needed on special initiatives, projects, or communications materials involving the wider Marketing and Communications Team

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Communcations, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field of study.
2 – 3 years of communications/public relations/marketing experience requred.
Strong ability to strategically adapt tone of voice and write with preferred style across multiple brands
Proficient in managing multiple projects with shifting priorities while consistently delivering high-quality work on time
Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and other healthcare industry guidelines to ensure compliance in content writing
Strong understanding of healthcare/medical industry and networks with the ability to craft messaging that resonates with providers, partners, and patients
Experience developing strategic content designed to reinforce audience segmentation and engagement tactics

Fluent in most recent AP Style guidelines
Strong ability to understand and tailor content to the perspectives and needs of multiple audiences
Critical thinker who is detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Collaborative and adaptable team player who embraces flexibility and is open to change, effectively working with team members to achieve enterprise goals and respond to evolving project needs
Open to feedback and actively seeks input to achieve the best possible outcomes
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and serve as a trusted advisor

Pay range of $65,000 to $75,000 annual salary + annual bonus: up to 8% of base pay depending on bonus criteria. This pay range is posted to comply with wage transparency laws. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
