The Marketing Specialist is self-motivated, creative, collaborative, and energetic. Experience with both internal and external communications and marketing projects is required. The ideal candidate strives to exceed expectations and wants to be on a team focused on outcomes that hold each member accountable.

Marketing specialist will partner with and assist marketing team members on a variety of projects in a fun, dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The candidate must have experience with a wide variety of marketing communications channels including intranet sites, email, marketing collateral, editing WordPress websites, events, and organizational skills to manage marketing requests from departments across the company.

Primary Functions & Accountabilities

Manage and track promotion item orders
Manage and track print orders
Manage letter requests by assisting in providing the letter template, editing the submitted letter and submitting it to our print vendor.
Coordinate onboarding information for new physicians
Graphic updates to templates and creation of brand graphics and collateral
Assist with patient emails, forms, web landing pages
Assist with event planning
Assist with creating the physician’s bio page on the website
Create email campaigns for virtual and in-person events, including creating email graphics, creating emails from a template, creating landing pages, and managing the RSVP and reminder process
Day-to-day website updates on a WordPress website
Assist with maintaining online listings of locations and physicians using an online listings management tool
Support internal and external communications strategies
Attend weekly marketing team meetings

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent organization, project coordination and initiative
Knowledge of AP Style and proofreading skills
Adobe Suite experience required- frequent use of Photoshop, InDesign preferred
Strong Microsoft Suite skills
Experience using email marketing tools such as Eloqua, or similar software.
Experience updating content on website is required, WordPress experience preferred
Ability to perform under tight deadlines and shifting priorities and can successfully navigate a fast-paced organization
Superior project and time management skills
Knowledge and understanding of current trends in marketing, healthcare marketing, internal communications, digital and social media
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications are a must.

Hybrid position: remote work, but must live within drivable distance to OrthoVirginia offices for occasional meetings

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations
At least 2-4 years of Marketing experience
Healthcare background preferred, but not required
