Hipcamp, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Marketplace in San Francisco, CA. This position is eligible for an employment referral bonus.

Duties: Collaborate with stakeholders across all business units to design and build core features. Take responsibility for technical problem-solving, creatively meeting product objectives, and developing best practices. Help our team improve the quality of our code through thoughtful collaboration, code reviews, and best practices. Mentor other engineers. Research emerging technologies within the computer science and machine learning space, and advise the organization on leveraging and implementing these technologies. Actively participate in agile software development methodology using standardized Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tools for record-keeping and communication. Participate in cross-functional teams to research alternatives, refine requirements, and design new functionality for our web application which implements a consumer-to-consumer marketplace. Implement new product functionality within our web application which implements a consumer-to-consumer marketplace.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related degree (or foreign equivalent) and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Software Engineer, Product Engineer, or related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with each of the following: 1. Software Engineering – Backend; 2. Software Design/Architecting; and 3. Software Engineering – Frontend.

Telecommuting permitted.

40 hours/week, Wage Range: $156,000 – $220,000 per year. Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.
