About The Role

We have a small but mighty growth team made up of a few marketers and admissions pros. As our new Marketing & Growth Associate, you’ll be in a core role where you’ll have the chance to punch above your weight, learn quickly, and move fast.

This is a wear-a-lot-of-hats kind of role. Some things we think you’ll almost certainly own or contribute to:

Running and improving our email marketing — from newsletters to automated campaigns.
Managing and growing our affiliate program.
Creating and publishing content marketing (case studies, SEO-focused articles, social content).
Supporting and iterating on our CRM and segmentation strategy in HubSpot.

You’ll also have opportunities to touch almost every piece of our marketing stack, depending on your skills, interests, and where the business needs are shifting.

We’re not looking for someone who’s “done it all.” We’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn, willing to roll up their sleeves, and able to solve problems with creativity and persistence.

What We’re Looking For

1–3 years of marketing experience (startups, SaaS, or edtech a plus).
Someone who moves fast, takes initiative, and doesn’t wait to be given work.
A knack for figuring things out — whether that’s a new tool, process, or channel.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Comfort using (or learning to use) AI tools to speed up and improve your work.
Bonus points for experience with HubSpot, affiliate platforms (Impact Radius), or SEO content.

Hiring Process

Our Hope Is That Our Hiring Process Nets Us a Great New Team Member While Still Being Candidate Friendly And Reasonably Fast. Here’s What You Should Expect

Step 1 — Resume Review

We’ll review all incoming applications and résumés for relevant experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.

Step 2 — AI Interview

Candidates who pass the initial screen will complete a short asynchronous interview using an AI-powered interview tool.

Step 3 — Hiring Manager Interview

A 30–45 minute live interview with the hiring manager (VP of Growth).

Step 4 — Paid Project + Debrief

Candidates will complete a short paid project designed to simulate real work.
The project will include a small asynchronous component (done on candidate’s own time) followed by a live debrief with the hiring manager.

Step 5 — Co-Founder Interview

A 30–45 minute conversation with one of Designlab’s co-founders.

Step 6 — Decision & Offer

We aim to move from application to offer in 2–3 weeks.
