About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Front-End/UI Engineer to join our fast-paced and innovative team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or early-career developers with a passion for creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. As a Junior UI Engineer at Kognitos, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers and designers to translate mockups into functional, responsive UI components. You will be involved in implementing end-to-end UI features that enhance user experience and align with our design system. This position provides a platform for growth, mentorship, and hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies, particularly React, in a supportive environment committed to your professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a top-tier university
1–3 years of hands-on UI development experience, including internships at reputable tech companies such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, or Amazon
Proficiency with React (or other modern frameworks like Vue.js or Angular)
Strong understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox, Grid, and responsive design principles
Basic knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility standards
Experience using Git for version control (branching, pull requests, merging)
Excellent communication skills and a growth-oriented mindset
Portfolio or code samples demonstrating UI development skills, including school projects, open-source contributions, or hackathon builds

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to convert mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive UI components
Assist in implementing complete UI features that provide a seamless user experience and adhere to our design system
Write clear, maintainable React (JavaScript/TypeScript) code, optimizing for performance and scalability under guidance
Participate in code reviews by giving and receiving constructive feedback to enhance code quality and your skills
Identify and troubleshoot UI bugs, cross-browser inconsistencies, and accessibility issues to ensure a robust user interface
Stay informed about emerging UI trends, libraries, and best practices; share insights with the team
Contribute to continuous improvement of the front-end development process and documentation
