We are looking for a Full Stack Intern to join our IT Team for a 16-week Co-Op program. This individual will report into our Full Stack Team Leads and have the opportunity to support impactful projects that enhance our e-commerce platform and internal operations, while honing your skills across front- and back-end development. This remote position is open to individuals who live and attend school in Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington and are a current student in their final year of studies or graduated within the last year.

This opportunity requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY for IT department on-site meetings up to 3 times per year. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond this visit – our doors are always open.

Location: Remote
Length of Program: January 12th – May 8th (16-weeks)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET
Pay: $36.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-performance software applications.
Create user-friendly and responsive front-end functionalities for our e-commerce platform while supporting robust back-end APIs and services.
Develop and enhance internal tools and applications to improve company operations.
Ensure system reliability, optimize application performance, and implement best practices for scalability.
Design and implement reusable, maintainable UI components and templates, and work closely with Designers to ensure technical feasibility and adherence to UX design standards.
Support the improvement of existing codebases and implementing modern practices.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in full-stack development.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the final year of studies or recent graduate with a focus in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles, including modern front-end frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
Experience in Java and back-end frameworks like Spring Boot with an understanding of database design, RDBMS concepts, and SQL
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with an eagerness to provide support across the life cycle, including planning, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior hands-on experience in full stack development and delivering high-quality software
Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration
Familiarity with version control systems, like Git, and CI/CD pipelines
