Position Overview

The Data Entry Typist is responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining client and administrative information in our databases and digital systems. This role supports both clinical and administrative teams by ensuring that records are current, complete, and easily accessible. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Type and enter client details, billing data, and clinical documentation into electronic systems.

Review source documents for accuracy and completeness before data entry.

Maintain, update, and organize electronic and paper files as needed.

Verify data integrity by performing regular checks and making corrections when necessary.

Assist with the preparation of reports, correspondence, and other administrative documents.

Ensure all information is handled in compliance with HIPAA and company confidentiality standards.

Collaborate with administrative staff to streamline data collection and record-keeping processes.

Perform additional clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.

Proven experience as a data entry typist, data entry clerk, or administrative assistant.

Excellent typing speed and accuracy (minimum 45 wpm preferred).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management systems.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Prior experience in a healthcare or counseling environment is a plus.
