Job Description
Ohio Surgery Center is seeking a meticulous and dependable Data Entry Processor to support the administrative, billing, and clinical documentation operations. This role focuses on accurately processing patient information, surgical data, and operational records to ensure smooth workflow across departments. The position offers both onsite and remote flexibility, making it an excellent fit for candidates who thrive in a structured environment and can maintain strong productivity while working remote.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process and input patient records, surgical procedure data, billing information, and departmental forms.
Review, verify, and validate incoming data for completeness and accuracy.
Identify and correct discrepancies through communication with clinical, scheduling, and billing teams.
Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and electronic record systems with high attention to detail.
Ensure data integrity through routine quality control checks and documentation validation.
Handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA and internal security standards.
Participate in remote workflow meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews as needed.
Stay organized and maintain consistent daily productivity, whether working onsite or in a remote environment.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred.
1+ year of experience in data entry, data processing, clerical support, or administrative roles.
Strong typing and data accuracy skills (high attention to detail is essential).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic data management tools.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment or collaboratively onsite.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with medical or healthcare records is a plus but not required.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems or healthcare documentation.
Ability to handle sensitive patient data with discretion.
Strong multitasking and time-management skills for both onsite and remote workflows.
Work Environment & Remote Options
This position provides flexible scheduling with the ability to work either onsite or remote. Employees choosing a remote schedule must maintain reliable productivity levels, ensure data accuracy, and communicate effectively with team members through virtual platforms.
Compensation
$29–$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
