About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our dynamic team, focusing on products tailored for the North American sports market, including American football, basketball, ice hockey, and soccer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new initiative aimed at making a significant impact on top-tier sports teams. As a Software Engineer II, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams comprising Engineering, Quality, Product, Design, and Scrum, to develop and enhance features that serve elite sports organizations. Your responsibilities will include delivering full-stack solutions, proposing innovative technical approaches, and mentoring less experienced engineers. This position requires a proactive mindset, strong technical skills, and a passion for sports technology, with options for remote work or proximity to our offices in Lincoln, Omaha, Lexington, Kansas City, Chicago, Austin, or Dallas.
Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
Proficiency with cloud-based systems and services
Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Experience with programming languages and frameworks such as TypeScript, React, GraphQL, C#, MongoDB, and AWS
Ability to independently navigate ambiguous work scenarios and identify pragmatic solutions
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a team-first mindset
Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and domains
Experience working with hybrid or remote teams is a plus
Knowledge or experience in the sports industry is preferred
Responsibilities

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance sports analytics products
Build and deliver full-stack features, iterating rapidly and deploying changes multiple times daily
Propose innovative solutions to technical challenges, providing guidance to team members
Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code
Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and workflows
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to sports technology and software development
Support the integration of new tools and processes to optimize development efficiency
Assist in mentoring junior engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment
