Job Description

This is a remote position. OneMD is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Specialist to support our healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining patient and administrative data while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare standards. This role is essential in supporting clinical teams and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Accurately enter and update patient information, medical records, and administrative data
• Review data for errors, completeness, and accuracy
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Input insurance details, billing codes, and appointment records as required
• Organize and manage electronic files and documentation
• Assist with data cleanup, audits, and reporting tasks
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve data discrepancies
• Follow company policies, procedures, and data security standards
• Meet productivity and accuracy targets consistently

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
• Proven experience in data entry, healthcare administration, or a related role
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy level
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data entry systems
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems is a plus
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills and Experience
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree • Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine • Active and unrestricted medical license (state-specific) • Valid DEA license (or eligibility to obtain) • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a team-based care environment • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems) • Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
