YOUR IMPACT
The Graphic Designer is a half-time position, working on average 20 hours per week, and supports the development and execution of high-quality visual assets that strengthen the visibility, engagement, and brand identity of TABS. This role focuses on creating compelling digital and print designs that support communication efforts across email, web, social, and event platforms, while ensuring visual consistency and alignment with the organization’s brand standards. The Graphic Designer plays an important role in enhancing awareness of TABS’ programs and resources, supporting member schools with clear and engaging visual materials, and advancing TABS’ marketing and communication objectives. This position will take a collaborative and detail-driven approach to design development, content execution, and brand stewardship, working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to produce creative assets on time, with accuracy, and in support of organizational goals.
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
Design & Creative Execution
Create visually compelling digital and print assets that support email campaigns, website content, social media, presentations, and events
Develop branded graphics that support membership outreach, strategic programs, research releases, and organizational initiatives
Ensure design accuracy, quality, and consistency with TABS’ brand standards and visual identity
Format and layout content for publications, reports, brochures, promotional materials, and digital collateral
Maintain and evolve visual templates, style elements, and design systems
Content, Publication, and Event Support
Partner closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to transform messaging and strategy into visual deliverables
Assist in preparing visual assets for presentations, webinars, and speaking engagements
Create visual assets and collaterals for conferences, gatherings, and professional development events, including signage, programs, slide decks, and promotional materials
Support event branding needs and execution
Project Coordination and Workflow
Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables for assigned projects to ensure timely completion in alignment with broader marketing schedules
Maintain organized files, templates, and production libraries
Work within shared project management platforms (e.g. Monday.com) to track progress and ensure cross-team visibility
Collaborate proactively with internal teams to identify design needs and gather necessary input
Administrative Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal departments, external partners, and vendors where needed to execute design work that supports organizational priorities
Provide guidance on visual standards and best practices to ensure consistent application across stakeholders
Provide occasional, basic operational coverage for the Director of Marketing and Communications when they are out
Monitor design-related needs during absences to ensure continuity of communication
Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
2+ years’ experience in professional graphic design
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, and other relevant design tools
Experience designing for email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, or equivalent)
Basic website editing experience (WordPress or similar)
Strong attention to detail, visual accuracy, and design quality
Ability to thrive in a flexible, remote environment while meeting deadlines
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment,
Belief in the transformational power of education and eagerness to help schools make a difference in the lives of their students
Strong alignment with TABS’ core values and support for initiatives that benefit member schools and their students
Dedication to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment, both within the organization and in interactions with members
BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience supporting marketing or communications with an association, nonprofit, or educational organization
Familiarity with independent schools, boarding school communities, or mission-driven institutions
Familiarity with Monday.com or project workflow tools
Knowledge of accessible design practices and inclusive visual standards
