About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Signage Technician to join our dynamic team at Farrside Sign. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various signage products, including illuminated signs, digital displays, and custom fabricated signage. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The Signage Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients’ signage solutions are installed correctly, function optimally, and adhere to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from small retail signs to large-scale corporate displays, contributing directly to the visual identity of our clients’ brands.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications related to electrical work, carpentry, or sign installation are preferred. Prior experience in signage installation, electrical wiring, or construction is highly desirable. Strong mechanical skills, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics are essential. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are crucial for effectively liaising with clients and team members. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites are required. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

Install and assemble signage products at client locations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Conduct site assessments to determine the most effective installation methods and identify potential challenges. Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles used in signage installation and repair. Troubleshoot technical issues related to electrical wiring, lighting, and structural integrity of signage. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing signage to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Collaborate with design and project management teams to understand project specifications and timelines. Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations during installation and maintenance activities. Document work performed and report progress and issues to supervisors. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and ensuring satisfaction with completed projects.
