About The Role

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer & PowerPoint Specialist to join our team on a temporary contract basis. This role is remote-based and reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Hitachi Americas. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing visually compelling graphics for presentations, reports, and marketing materials, as well as creating and formatting professional PowerPoint presentations that align with our brand standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of aesthetics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects, ensuring all visual content maintains consistency in branding, colors, and typography while effectively communicating complex ideas through engaging visuals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or a related field
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or similar roles
Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent
Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and other professional presentation tools
Excellent attention to detail and creative flair
Effective communication and time management abilities
Experience with presentation storytelling and data visualization (preferred)
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines (preferred)

Responsibilities

Design and develop graphics for presentations, reports, and marketing collateral that align with brand guidelines
Create, format, and refine PowerPoint presentations with engaging, professional layouts
Ensure consistency in branding, including colors, typography, and visual style across all materials
Edit and enhance existing presentations and visual assets to improve clarity and visual appeal
Collaborate closely with team members to understand project requirements, deadlines, and objectives
Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail in all deliverables
Assist in developing visual storytelling strategies for presentations and communications
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design and presentation development
