About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Web Developer to join our team and lead the modernization of PCH’s e-commerce platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a beloved brand, working at the intersection of commerce, rewards, and membership. You will be instrumental in developing scalable, innovative solutions that enhance user engagement and drive revenue. Your work will involve extending our Shopify storefront, building headless front-end experiences, and implementing robust authentication systems. Collaborating closely with leadership, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will influence architecture decisions, optimize site performance, and ensure a seamless experience for millions of members.

Qualifications

Proven expertise in Shopify development, including Liquid templating, Storefront & Admin APIs, theme customization, and app integration
Strong experience with headless development using React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
Hands-on experience with authentication providers like Stytch, Auth0, Clerk, or Firebase Auth
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, RESTful and GraphQL APIs
Experience deploying and managing applications on Vercel, AWS, or similar cloud platforms
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and analytics tools such as Segment or Google Analytics
Understanding of subscription, membership, rewards, or loyalty systems is a plus
Experience with high-traffic e-commerce or consumer platforms is desirable
Excellent problem-solving skills and a builder mindset focused on impact and quality
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

Extend, customize, and maintain the Shopify storefront, including themes, Liquid templates, and app integrations
Develop and implement headless front-end experiences such as custom pages, dashboards, microsites, and user interfaces for club members
Implement and manage Stytch authentication as the primary identity system, including session management and user state handling
Integrate headless front-ends with Shopify Storefront API, webhooks, and internal APIs for rewards, entries, and promotions
Define and help implement a hybrid architecture that combines Shopify’s capabilities with custom headless solutions
Optimize website performance, SEO, analytics, and conversion metrics
Collaborate with product, design, marketing, and compliance teams to deliver impactful solutions
Establish best practices, documentation, and patterns for the hybrid architecture to ensure maintainability and scalability
Stay current with industry trends and continuously improve the technical stack and development processes
