Marketing Manager at pganalyze

Job Description

pganalyze is a developer-first company building tools to help teams run PostgreSQL databases reliably at scale. We work with highly technical customers, like Atlassian, Fivetran, & Robinhood, and are deeply embedded in the Postgres community. Our marketing reflects that: educational, practical, and grounded in real-world engineering problems.

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager with devtools experience who thrives on execution, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and wants to work closely with product, sales, and community stakeholders. We operate on a 4-day work week, prioritizing focus, sustainability, and high-impact work over long hours.

This is a hands-on role focused on marketing program ownership, campaign execution, and marketing operations. You’ll work directly with the VP of Marketing to turn strategy into shipped work like campaigns, assets, and systems that support both self-serve and enterprise growth.
You should be comfortable working in a technical environment, managing multiple deadlines, and owning programs end-to-end

Key Responsibilities

Digital & Content Marketing Execution
Assist with digital campaigns by translating long-form content (blogs, webinars, reports) into short-form assets
Adapt content into social posts, landing-page sections, and campaign visuals using existing design templates
Collaborate closely with the VP of Marketing on campaign planning and execution

Organic Social Media
Own organic social media across relevant channels (e.g., LinkedIn, BlueSky)
Create and schedule posts aligned with product updates, content launches, events, and community activity
Maintain a consistent, developer-focused voice aligned with pganalyze’s brand

Marketing Operations & CRM
Own day-to-day marketing operations in HubSpot
Upload and manage new contacts from events, campaigns, and partnerships
Maintain a clean and accurate pipeline in HubSpot
Flag and route high-intent (“hot”) leads to sales
Support attribution and campaign tracking in collaboration with the VP of Marketing

Sales Enablement
Support sales with the creation and maintenance of one-pagers, slides, and supporting assets
Help keep sales materials up to date with product releases and messaging changes
Coordinate feedback loops between sales and marketing

Webinar & Zoom Event Management
Own operational setup for webinars and virtual events
Create and manage registration pages
Coordinate reminders, follow-ups, and post-event asset delivery

Event & Field Marketing
Own pganalyze’s event program, including conferences, meetups, and sponsored events
Manage timelines, logistics, vendor coordination, shipping, and booth setup
Coordinate internal booth staffing and schedules
Support on-site execution (some travel required, approximately 5 times per year)

What We’re Looking For

Required
Experience marketing developer tools or infrastructure software
Availability that overlaps with US Pacific Time working hours for team collaboration
Strong project management skills and attention to detail
Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/marketing automation platform
Ability to create and write content targeted at technical audiences (software engineers, DBAs, data teams)
Experience using generative AI tools for marketing and knowing when not to rely on them
Familiarity with CLI tools and the ability to use Claude Code to iterate and ship changes to marketing website
Clear written communication skills

Nice to Have
Experience with Figma or other design collaboration tools
Experience working with open-source communities
Prior experience managing conference booths or field marketing programs
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, databases, or cloud infrastructure (not required, but a plus)

What Success Looks Like
Campaigns ship consistently and on schedule
Social channels are active, relevant, and aligned with our audience
HubSpot data is clean, actionable, and trusted by sales
Sales has the assets they need, when they need them
Events run smoothly and on time, with clear follow-through on leads

Why pganalyze

Small, experienced team with high ownership and low bureaucracy
Deep connection to the Postgres and open-source communities
