About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join our dynamic digital team at FirstBank. This role is primarily focused on frontend development, specializing in building high-quality, user-facing web experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress development, UI engineering, and responsive design, with a keen eye for visual consistency, accessibility, and performance. As a senior member of the team, you will collaborate closely with graphic designers, content marketers, architects, and product stakeholders to translate creative concepts into polished, on-brand digital interfaces. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and professional experience, including:

Proven experience in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining WordPress-based websites, including creating custom themes, plugins, and CMS configurations.
Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, plugin ecosystems, and content modeling in a marketing-driven environment.
Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and third-party services.
Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
Understanding of web accessibility standards, performance optimization, and responsive design principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience partnering with digital marketing teams and graphic designers on web initiatives (preferred).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP (preferred).
Experience with marketing technology platforms like HubSpot, Google Analytics, or related tools (preferred).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks (preferred).

Responsibilities

The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at delivering high-quality web experiences, including:

Design, develop, and maintain complex WordPress websites and responsive web applications that are user-friendly and visually appealing.
Create and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and integrations, leveraging existing solutions where appropriate to optimize development time.
Build intuitive, accessible, and performant user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks, HTML, CSS, and WordPress.
Ensure all digital interfaces adhere to brand standards, UX/UI best practices, and accessibility guidelines.
Collaborate with digital marketing teams and graphic designers to translate visual designs and campaign requirements into functional web interfaces.
Participate in planning sessions to support digital marketing initiatives and ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.
Maintain application performance, security, reliability, and scalability through plugin management, updates, and optimization.
Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, contributing to engineering best practices and code reviews.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects efficiently.
Integrate WordPress and frontend components with internal and third-party APIs, forms, and analytics platforms.
Implement resilient UI patterns for handling API responses, loading states, and error handling.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and marketing departments.
Adhere to all corporate policies, federal and state regulations, and industry standards, including compliance courses and service excellence protocols.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the continuous improvement of digital assets.
