Careerscape is supporting a client seeking a Remote Entry-Level Freelance Writer to create engaging, high-quality written content for a variety of digital platforms. This role involves researching topics, writing clear and compelling content, editing drafts, and collaborating with internal teams to meet project deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong writing skills who wants to build a career in content creation, copywriting, digital marketing, or communications while working remotely.

The Freelance Writer will collaborate with editors, marketing professionals, and project managers to produce blog posts, website content, articles, email copy, product descriptions, and other written materials.

COMPENSATION

The estimated compensation for this role ranges from $65,000 to $90,000 per year (annualized), depending on workload, writing experience, project complexity, and client requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Research topics and gather reliable information
– Write clear, engaging, and original content
– Edit and proofread content before submission
– Create blog posts, articles, website copy, and marketing content
– Meet project deadlines and manage multiple assignments
– Follow brand voice and editorial guidelines
– Revise content based on editor feedback
– Collaborate with marketing and content teams
– Maintain organized project files and documentation
– Ensure content accuracy and quality
– Perform additional writing and content-related duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

– High school diploma or equivalent required
– Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred
– 0–2 years of writing, editing, blogging, academic, or freelance experience
– Excellent written English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
– Strong research and organizational skills
– Ability to manage deadlines independently
– Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online collaboration tools
– Strong attention to detail
– Self-motivated and dependable

NICE TO HAVE

– Portfolio of writing samples or personal blog
– Familiarity with SEO writing principles
– Experience using Grammarly, Google Docs, or Microsoft Word
– Knowledge of content management systems such as WordPress
– Interest in digital marketing and content strategy
