About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Front-end Localization Engineer to join our UI engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing high-quality, localized user experiences on our SaaS platform. You will leverage your expertise in front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript, and modern web standards, combined with hands-on localization engineering skills, to build scalable and internationalized interfaces. Your responsibilities will include integrating localization into front-end components, managing translation workflows, and ensuring that our products effectively serve a global audience. The position offers flexibility with remote work options for candidates located in select U.S. states, as well as hybrid opportunities in our Austin, TX and Tampa, FL offices. Onsite interviews may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in front-end or software engineering roles.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, and CSS.
Proven experience in localization engineering, including internationalization, adaptive UI, and responsive design.
Bilingual proficiency with strong verbal and written communication skills in English and at least one additional language.
Experience building reusable, component-based UI using design systems and tools such as Figma and Storybook.
Working knowledge of Python for automation scripting or development workflows.
Familiarity with localization workflows and Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools.
Understanding of front-end testing frameworks and best practices for writing effective test cases.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to bridge diverse teams and facilitate cross-departmental cooperation.
Highly self-sufficient and proactive, capable of managing projects independently from inception to completion.
Experience working in fast-paced environments with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable internationalized UI solutions within the React codebase.
Integrate localization processes into front-end components, manage localization files, and optimize UI architecture to support multiple languages and regions.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance localization workflows and developer experience.
Extract and manage UI strings for translation, coordinate efforts with internal teams and external vendors, and address translator inquiries.
Validate localized builds across various languages and regions, support localization QA, and manage bug reporting related to localization issues.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and localization teams to resolve UI, layout, and functional challenges arising from localization.
Serve as the front-end localization point of contact, ensuring international customer experience is prioritized and localization readiness is maintained for each product release.
Identify, investigate, and resolve localization and internationalization issues independently.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination between Front-end Engineering, Localization, Design, and other stakeholders.
Perform additional duties as required to support the team and company objectives.
