Position Overview

The Graphics Specialist will be embedded with our client, American Packaging Corporation (APC). In this role, you’ll manage graphics and print production projects from concept through execution, ensuring they meet both client expectations and internal goals. You’ll act as the key liaison between APC and Olberding, managing workflows, anticipating issues, and ensuring seamless communication.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the central point of contact for assigned client groups on all graphics-related projects.
Participate in pre-production meetings to align print capabilities and procedures.
Coordinate with APC’s customer service to ensure print feasibility, accurate scheduling, and graphics compliance.
Guide clients in developing packaging graphics that meet APC’s print standards.
Manage project initiation, routing, tracking, and final delivery.
Ensure all required materials and checklists are complete before project kickoff.
Identify and communicate potential production issues early in the process.
Provide clear updates on project timelines and expectations to client teams.
Gather feedback during reviews and route changes to the Olberding team.
Manage color development processes, standards, and brand consistency.
Facilitate print feasibility reviews with internal teams.
Support initial press runs and color approvals when needed.
Practice and promote safety through participation in APC’s STOP Safety Program.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong project management and organizational skills.
10+ years of experience in packaging graphics, project management, or print production.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications, Marketing, Prepress/Printing, or similar.
Solid knowledge of flexographic printing and consumer product packaging.
Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Skilled in proofreading, communication, and stakeholder coordination.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proficient in Mac OS and software tools like Microsoft Office, FileMaker Pro, and Adobe Acrobat.
