Priority for this role will be given candidates based in Spokane, WA, Denver, CO, Irvine CA, Little Rock, AR and Calgary, Alberta CA, but this role is open to remote candidates in the United States and Canada.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As part of Montrose’s Brand Design team, the Senior Graphic Designer reports to the Creative Director and plays a key role in stewarding the brand across strategic corporate initiatives and all business lines including marketing, sales, investor relations, talent acquisition, and internal/external communications.
Develop high-level creative concepts and translate them into a wide range of deliverables including web, UI/UX, video, environmental graphics, digital ads, social media, presentations, print, and email marketing.
Lead or contribute to project ideation and planning—crafting clear creative briefs, facilitating brainstorms, managing stakeholders, and defining scope.
Own the visual and conceptual direction of projects while also providing support to fellow designers as needed. Mentor junior team members and manage external vendors.
Apply user-centered design thinking to align creative output with business goals and audience needs.
Collaborate across departments to deliver strategic, on-brand solutions through effective workflows and strong cross-functional partnerships.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight—communicating roadblocks, adapting priorities, and presenting work to leadership for feedback and approval.
Your Expertise And Skills
To succeed in this role, you bring both creative excellence and strategic thinking. You’re not just a designer-you’re a cross-functional collaborator with a passion for crafting smart, effective visual solutions. A design portfolio will be required to apply.
You are:
A graphic design professional with 7+ years of experience
Fluent in channel-specific design best practices across digital, print, social media, email, and more
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with ease
Passionate about design, current on industry trends, and constantly pushing for fresh, innovative ideas
A proactive team player and clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
You have intermediate to expert proficiency in:
Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or other motion tools
Microsoft Office: Designing in PowerPoint and Word
Bonus points for experience with:
HTML5, CSS3, and content management systems (CMS)
DSLR photography, basic lighting, and video capture for events and internal content
Basic photo and video editing
Illustration, environmental design, and sustainable marketing practices
Canva
Asana (or other project management tools)
