Job Description
Hi, we’re Conveyor 👋, creators of the #1 Customer Trust AI automation platform.
We solve problems that our customers “hate with the fury of 1000 suns” (actual quote!) – the dreaded customer security review and RFP processes. These are key parts of the B2B sales cycle, but both still involve too much time, effort, and mental anguish from those involved.
Enter Conveyor, where our mission is to eliminate all of the misery from B2B customer trust with maximum automation. We’ve made a lot of progress – we have an awesome customer list whose lives we’ve significantly impacted through product, this year we launched the first AI agents for security reviews (Sue) and RFPs (Phil), and we just raised a $20M Series B from SignalFire and OVF! (TechCrunch) But we have ambitious goals and we’re looking for our next Senior Product Designer to help make them a reality!
The top 3 1/2 reasons you should be interested in working at Conveyor:
You’ll be selling a great product with a slam dunk AI use case while building sales processes and foundations to help scale the business.
Everyone on the team is amazing at their jobs. We care deeply about psychological safety, and believe that the ability to take risks and exist in the learning zone is critical to our success. This also comes with high accountability, which isn’t for everyone. But, you have the potential to have an outsize impact on the direction and success of the company.
We’re highly transparent and collaborative. Giving constructive, thoughtful feedback and asking hard questions are highly encouraged! We come together to figure it out when times are hard, and in celebration when we get our wins. 1/2. Plus, we’ll even teach you how to saber a bottle of champagne
About The Role
We’re looking for exceptional product designers to advance our mission of fully automating the pain of security reviews. Proactivity and creativity is a must in order to create 10x user experiences that don’t just incrementally improve the lives of our users, but transform them, helped along by what is now possible because of emerging technology in AI.
Approachable, fast, simple design is critical for us since experiencing the product is a key part of our sales process, and many customers have come from referrals or after interacting with Conveyor as someone reviewing a vendor. Correspondingly, designers have a lot of influence here.
You’ll be an early member of the design team (currently 2, growing to 4), reporting to our Head of Design and working in tight-knit collaboration with a top-notch product team. You’ll be tackling tough challenges like “How can we shift work off of our users’ plates onto AI without them feeling like they’re losing control?” or “How can we enable different stakeholders in this process while respecting their competing priorities?”, among others. You’ll own the entire design process for your projects, from brainstorming and ideation, to research and validation, to supporting engineering during delivery. As a fast-paced, early-stage startup, no two days are the same so an excitement for figuring out new challenges, excellent problem-solving skills, and adaptability are a must.
Customer discovery drives our strategy, so our most successful designers also have product management instincts. Beyond creating exceptional visual experiences, you’ll help shape product direction and priorities. You’ll influence what we build—not just how it looks—by identifying opportunities and conducting discovery. This approach expands your impact and growth potential, though it requires product thinking and business problem-solving skills.
You Might Be a Good Fit If
Talking to customers about their problems energizes you. You’re driven to understand the “why” behind their requests or insights. You feel deeply satisfied when you untangle their complicated problems.
You’re enthusiastic and curious about the possibilities that AI can unlock for both our team and our users.
You have a high level of craft and a solid understanding of design principles. You pride yourself on your ability to create simple experiences that feel good to use, even when users might be doing something very complex.
You enjoy thinking beyond design execution and are excited to problem solve and help determine product direction and priorities, not just implement someone else’s vision.
You view collaboration and feedback as critical to get to the best solution. You care about fostering psychological safety on the team, and are comfortable being vulnerable when you need help or support.
You prefer to validate your decisions, and know how to go about doing so.
You’re opinionated but practical, and know how to balance short term gains and long term vision. You have a keen sense on what tools or tactics to deploy to have the most impact toward a desired outcome.
You’re a good communicator, and know how to get the team excited about your vision and the potential it unlocks for our business.
You’re happy to flex into unexpected roles when needed to help the team as a whole succeed.
You Might Not Be a Good Fit It
You work better with clearly defined product requirements, and need strong direction in order to do your best work.
You prefer tradition and the way things are over exploring possibilities of what could be.
You do your best work alone as a one-designer island, and are uncompromising about the purity of your design vision.
You prefer operating in an environment with a rigid process and clear handoffs between product, design, and engineering.
You want to focus primarily on one stage of the design process at this stage of your career
You’re not comfortable with the accountability that comes with increased influence and responsibility.
