About The Role

We are seeking a socially savvy, creative, and detail-oriented Freelance Junior Video Editor to join our remote team. In this role, you will work closely with our Video Producer to transform existing long-form interview footage and branded content into engaging, platform-specific short videos for social media. Your primary responsibility will be to create compelling short-form content such as reels, stories, and clips optimized for platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, and others. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media trends, formats, and best practices to maximize engagement and reach. You will be responsible for editing multiple variations of content, adding captions, subtitles, graphics, and on-brand text overlays to enhance viewer engagement. Additionally, you will organize and manage footage libraries and project files efficiently, collaborate on creative strategies to boost content performance, and perform light color correction and audio mixing as needed. This role offers a flexible, remote work environment suited for a self-motivated individual with a passion for social media content creation and editing.
Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is required
Experience with Adobe After Effects is a plus
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their content requirements
Excellent video editing skills with a portfolio or reel demonstrating previous work
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Fast, reliable internet connection suitable for remote editing workflows
Creative mindset with an eye for detail and trends
Basic knowledge of color correction and audio mixing
Experience organizing and managing digital footage libraries
Responsibilities

Edit short-form video content (reels, stories, clips) from existing footage for various social media platforms
Create multiple cutdowns and variations of videos tailored to different audiences and platform specifications
Add captions, subtitles, graphics, and on-brand text overlays to videos
Stay updated on social media trends, formats, and best practices to inform editing approaches
Organize and maintain footage libraries and project files for easy access and workflow efficiency
Collaborate with the Video Producer and creative team to develop engaging content strategies
Perform light color correction and audio mixing to enhance video quality
Ensure all content aligns with brand standards and platform specifications
