Job Description

Crossing Hurdles is a recruitment firm. We refer top candidates to our partners working with the world’s leading AI research labs to help build and train cutting-edge AI models.

Position: Software Engineer
Type: Hourly Contract
Compensation: $50–$85/hour
Location: Remote

Duration: Short-term project with potential for extension

Role (Training support will be provided)

Write and review comprehensive unit tests for complex open-source code repositories.
Ensure test coverage is robust, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices.
Collaborate directly with AI researchers from top-tier labs to maintain code quality.
Work fully asynchronously on your own schedule, with a commitment of 15–40 hours/week.

Requirements

Strong experience (professional or open-source) in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
Hands-on experience writing unit tests in at least one of the above languages.
Strong track record of contributions to complex open-source projects.
Comfortable working with Docker and containerized environments.
