Job Description
A web-based Petrophysics platform in development is seeking a freelance developer to support ongoing feature implementation and optimization. The platform is designed for oil and gas subsurface analysis, with a core structure already in place. The developer will collaborate with the lead software engineer to complete contained project tasks, contributing to the platform’s usability and technical performance. This is a remote, part-time contract role with flexible timelines defined per deliverable.
Deliverables
Assist in developing new modules and features within the Petrophysics platform.
Implement front-end and back-end components using JavaScript.
Ensure accuracy and reliability in data visualization and user workflows.
Collaborate with the lead engineer on integration and testing of platform features.
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing code for performance improvements.
Deliver documented, clean, and maintainable code.
Adapt solutions based on feedback and technical requirements.
Requirements
Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with web application development.
Familiarity with frameworks and libraries commonly used in data-heavy platforms (e.g., React, D3.js, or similar).
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and code quality.
Background or familiarity with oil and gas projects, particularly subsurface Petrophysics analysis, is preferred.
Ability to collaborate remotely with a lead engineer and subject matter expert.
Strong communication skills and accountability for meeting project timelines.
Availability for part-time contract work with tasks assigned incrementally.
