Job Description

This is a remote position. McKee-Nix & Associates is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is responsible for accurately entering, verifying, and maintaining data in company systems while supporting internal departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work environment, demonstrates high attention to detail, and can manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Enter, update, and maintain data in company databases accurately and efficiently from a remote workstation.

Review documents and submissions to ensure completeness, correctness, and compliance with company standards.

Perform regular quality checks to identify errors or inconsistencies and make corrections as needed.

Collaborate with internal teams via remote communication tools to resolve discrepancies and clarify data requirements.

Generate reports, summaries, and datasets to support business operations, analytics, and decision-making.

Organize and maintain digital records and ensure proper storage for easy access and retrieval.

Track and document completed work, maintaining logs of data entries, updates, and corrections.

Follow company procedures, workflows, and best practices to ensure data integrity across remote operations.

Assist with special projects and data migration tasks in remote work settings.

Participate in virtual training sessions and meetings to stay updated on software, processes, and system changes.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.

Proven experience in data entry, administrative support, or similar roles, preferably in a remote setting.

Strong typing skills (55+ WPM) with high accuracy.

Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and data management software.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple tasks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members via remote collaboration platforms.

Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote workspace free from distractions.

Familiarity with document handling, workflow management, and quality control procedures.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, advisory, or professional services. Hands-on experience with security assessments, architecture design, and risk management. Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls). Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) is preferred. Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), identity management, encryption, and network security. Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with experience presenting to executives and technical teams. Consulting mindset: strong problem-solving, client-facing experience, and ability to lead engagements. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent are a plus.
