Job Description

Purpose of Role

Develops and maintains the software, applications, and integrations used to support Yamaha business goals.

Key Accountabilities Include

Supports front end software code deliverables to meet Yamaha business requirements
Supports the code development process to ensure Yamaha software quality
Understands and applies Yamaha guidelines to ensure a positive customer experience

Primary Responsibilities Include

Learns to follow Yamaha brand style guidelines
Learns to follow Yamaha SEO best practices in front end development
Learns to follow Yamaha current WCAG best practices

Accessibility: Design and develop web content for individuals with disabilities in accordance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, at Levels A and AA
Customer Experience: Define desired customer experience to achieve satisfaction and loyalty throughout the customer journey
Digital Development: Design, develop, and maintain websites and online applications used by customers
Digital Development – IT: Design, develop, and maintain digital marketing stack, websites, and online applications used by customers
Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Increase quality and quantity of website traffic and brand exposure through organic, non-paid search engine results
UI/UX Design: Design the aesthetics of a digital product; plan the experience a person has when they interact with a digital product

Qualifications

Ideal

Experienced in application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, at Levels A and AA for website and mobile application design and development
Experience creating website wireframes
Language experience: Adobe XD (or similar tool), JavaScript, CSS, HTML
Basic understanding of SEO factors in web page and website design and development

Preferred

Experience working in enterprise PM tool like JIRA or Workfront
BS in Computer Science
