The UI engineer role focuses on building Kestrel, the next-generation platform, with a mission to prevent security breaches through innovative, user-centric experiences.

Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of product delivery and drive technical aspects of front-end architecture
• Design, build, and maintain single page application frameworks
• Participate in code reviews
• Contribute to sound engineering and product design decisions
• Build tools to improve the team’s development experience
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality
• Collaborate with UX designers, QA engineers, Product Managers, Data/API engineers, and others
• Continuously learn about cybersecurity challenges and front-end engineering trends

Requirements:
• Expert knowledge of web standards and front-end development tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful API, GraphQL, Typescript, Ember CLI, Node/NPM, Webpack, Responsive UI)
• Experience building scalable UI design systems using atomic design principles
• Understanding of cloud technologies and end-to-end delivery of data-intensive SaaS products
• Proficiency in accessibility best practices (keyboard navigation, screen readers, WCAG guidelines)
• Experience with internationalization (i18n)
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Ember, React, Angular, Vue, Lit, or similar
• Experience with CSS frameworks like Tailwind
• Familiarity with front-end data-mocking services and tools
• Knowledge of data fetching and state management libraries
• Understanding of CI/CD best practices and build optimization tools
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Advocacy for UX consistency, accessibility, and user empathy
• Bonus: Experience with data grid libraries (e.g., AG Grid), web components, Amazon Web Services, prior cybersecurity experience, or open source contributions
