Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Remote)

Type: Contract-to-hire, Full-Time

Compensation: $140-180k/year + equity

We’re building the creative foundation for how teams make film, animation, and AI-generated media. Our platform supports the entire creative process, from early ideation through post-production.

Imagine the collaborative power of Figma combined with the professional tools of Premiere Pro. Our goal is to create a seamless, real-time environment with powerful generative and low-code tools for visuals, sound, and scripts. This isn’t just another AI tool; it’s an extensible platform built for serious iterative storytelling and modern film production.

We’re looking for a founding full-stack engineer who values clean structure, prioritizes a great user experience, and has a deep curiosity for creative tools.

Our Stack

Frontend: Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, TailwindCSS, shadcn/ui
Backend: Prisma + PostgreSQL, FastAPI (planned), and job queues for long-running tasks
Infra: GCP, Vercel, Fal
Collab Features: A custom WebSocket layer, user roles, asset versioning, and real-time UX
Data Layer: Assets (image, video, audio, script), Entities (character, location, shot), Projects, IPs, and Tasks

What You’ll Do

Lead the development of a composable, entity-based gallery system
Build a unique system for integrating generative tools
Design and evolve our data models to support asset lineage, versioning, feedback, comments, and tool-generated media
Set architectural patterns that will scale across all creative phases: pre-production, production, and post-production

Who You Are

You might be a great fit if you:

Have experience working in an early-stage startup environment
Are comfortable pushing code to production quickly and can adapt to change
Have 2 – 4 years of experience building applications with React or Next.js, and you value clean, modular code
Can confidently own both frontend design and backend data modeling
Are comfortable with Prisma or other SQL-heavy ORMs and understand database normalization and entity relationships
Enjoy building tools for creative people, or have experience with:
Collaborative applications like Notion or Figma
Media platforms for video, games, or audio
Generative AI or LLM workflows
