About The Role

We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our Developer Experience (DevX) team at Coinbase. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the developer platform by building and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly frontend components for Coinbase’s Internal Developer Platform (IDP). Your work will directly impact hundreds of engineers by providing them with efficient tools and workflows to build, publish, and manage APIs and infrastructure products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless and accessible user experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence product development, contribute to Coinbase’s design system, and elevate internal tools used daily across the organization.
Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years of experience developing modern web applications using React or similar frameworks
Proven track record of building and shipping user-facing features in component-based UI frameworks
Strong understanding of front-end architecture, performance optimization, security best practices, and usability principles
Experience working within product and design lifecycles, collaborating with designers, engineers, and product managers
Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities

Own the frontend experience of Coinbase’s Internal Developer Platform (IDP), ensuring an intuitive and reliable interface for internal users
Develop and maintain React components and pages that integrate with various infrastructure products such as release pipelines, configuration management, asset management, and real-time data dashboards
Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and API publishers to craft efficient workflows for API publishing, discovery, and evaluation
Enhance the accessibility, performance, and reliability of the IDP UI to ensure a seamless user experience
Partner with product managers, designers, and staff engineers to influence product roadmap and UX priorities
Contribute to Coinbase’s internal design system and frontend libraries, promoting reuse and consistency across platforms
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high-quality standards
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in frontend development to continuously improve the platform
