About the Role

As a Fullstack Engineer at CX2, you’ll be a member of our in house technical team and partner with our venture and accelerator teams to prototype, build, and scale cloud-native web applications and AI agent platforms for portfolio companies. You’ll shepherd startups from proof-of-concept to production, leveraging modern web technologies both on the cloud and in the browser.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Development: Architect and implement web and microservice applications using web technologies (such as but not limited to nodejs/express) on the backend and React.js (or native/vanilla JS) on the frontend
AWS: Design, deploy, and optimize AWS services such as ECS/EKS/beanstalk, Lambda, RDS/DynamoDB
Database Design: database schema design for relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and vector-enabled stores (pgvector, DynamoDB), ensuring data integrity, performance, and extensibility
Prototyping & MVPs: Collaborate directly with founders and product teams to rapidly prototype features, iterate on user feedback, and transition MVPs into robust products
CI/CD & Automation: Establish automated pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI) for testing, security scans, and deployments across environments
Monitoring & Reliability: Implement observability—logging, metrics, alerts—and own incident response and post-mortems to maintain high availability

Qualifications

2+ years of full stack development with Node.js and React.js (or vanilla JS) in production
2+ years designing and operating AWS infrastructure, including serverless and containerized services
Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL database design and optimization
Proven ability to build and document RESTful APIs
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with founders

Nice to have skills

Experience integrating AI/LLM-based agents (RAG, vector search)
Familiarity with WebGL/Three.js or svg based visualizations (beyond basic dom)
Startup or accelerator experience
