About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a backend focus to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining core aspects of the Feeld platform, working on both the mobile application and backend systems. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver new features, optimize existing functionalities, and support the overall stability and security of our services. You will be part of a dedicated squad comprising engineers and a lead, focusing on critical product pillars such as onboarding, discovery, chat, and member care experiences. Your expertise will help ensure a seamless, secure, and engaging user experience for our diverse community. The ideal candidate will have extensive backend development experience, particularly with TypeScript and AWS technologies, along with a solid understanding of frontend development for Android and iOS platforms. Collaboration, innovation, and a user-centric mindset are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Proven experience in backend development, ideally with TypeScript
Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure
Experience working on scalable, distributed systems with high user engagement (e.g., 1M MAU or more)
Familiarity with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, message queues, and serverless functions
Hands-on experience with React Native mobile app development, including debugging and feature contribution
Understanding of frontend development principles for Android and iOS platforms
Knowledge of security best practices, including safeguarding against attack vectors
Experience working with GraphQL, DynamoDB, and other modern cloud-based databases (bonus)
Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in API design and user experience
Effective communication skills, with a focus on constructive feedback and teamwork

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain core product features for the Feeld mobile app and backend systems
Collaborate within a squad of engineers to focus on key product areas such as onboarding, discovery, chat, and member care
Build experiments, implement new features, and resolve issues to enhance user engagement and satisfaction
Support and mentor fellow engineers, sharing knowledge to foster a collaborative learning environment
Align with cross-functional teams, including product and QA, to deliver value-driven solutions
Monitor system performance, review existing services, and recommend improvements to address technical debt
Ensure security and compliance standards are integrated into all development processes
Design and optimize APIs, working closely with frontend teams for seamless integration
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to uphold quality standards
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve the platform
