About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer to join our Customer Experience team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing a world-class Customer Support platform that efficiently addresses high volumes of technical, purchasing, and logistics issues faced by buyers and sellers. Your expertise will help create seamless user experiences, scale internal infrastructure, and implement intelligent automation solutions to resolve thousands of customer issues per hour. You will lead end-to-end solution design, translating complex business challenges into effective technical strategies, and drive innovation through delivery and experimentation. This position offers remote work options, with the requirement to reside within commuting distance of our hubs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, or Seattle.

Qualifications

5+ years of full‑time software engineering experience, preferably within high‑growth startup environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven backend expertise with experience in building high‑scale, end‑to‑end product experiences as a full‑stack engineer.
Experience with Python for backend development and familiarity with Postgres databases is a plus.
Web or mobile development experience, including proficiency with Next.js for web applications or native mobile development.
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage projects from inception through deployment and maintenance.
Excellent product instincts, capable of translating user needs into effective technical solutions.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, thriving in ambiguous situations and tackling complex challenges with creativity and autonomy.
Leadership qualities that promote team growth, inclusivity, and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Design and develop innovative user-facing experiences to enhance customer interactions.
Scale and optimize internal infrastructure to support high-volume customer support operations.
Implement intelligent automation solutions to efficiently resolve thousands of customer issues per hour.
Lead end-to-end solution development, transforming ambiguous business problems into clear technical strategies.
Drive project delivery, experimentation, and continuous improvement while balancing development speed, product impact, and technical excellence.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of features.
Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance across all projects.
Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
