Are you a versatile designer with experience in motion graphics, web animation, and brand storytelling? Our team is seeking a talented freelance Graphic & Motion Designer for ongoing, ad hoc projects, primarily supporting our client’s brand and content initiatives.

Role Overview: You’ll play a key role in elevating our client’s visual presence across website, portfolio, blog, and social media channels. Working closely with a third-party developer and in-house designers, you’ll create memorable static and animated graphics that showcase their brand identity while maintaining visual continuity across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build custom web animations (primarily using GSAP), supporting interactive portfolio/work pages and engaging storytelling.
Develop thumbnail graphics for portfolio pieces; create supporting static and animated assets that reveal project stories using dynamic effects.
Ensure brand consistency across all graphics, integrating client brands where needed while maintaining brand standards.
Collaborate and communicate proactively with development partners and design team; quickly understand project needs and propose solutions.
Refine blog layouts (especially side-by-side post alignment) and create blog thumbnails (animated or static) in company palette, including square and landscape versions.
Produce and optimize graphics/animations for social media (LinkedIn, Instagram); adapt versions as needed for different channel requirements (e.g., headline baked into LinkedIn graphics).
Potential to support client projects as pipeline/workload evolves.

Requirements

Technical Tools:

WordPress
Adobe Creative Suite or Figma
Jitter for animation

Required Skills & Experience:

Demonstrated experience maintaining visual continuity and brand consistency across a portfolio-systems thinking is key.
Strong capabilities in both static and animated graphic production for web, blog, and social.
Skilled in web animation techniques (GSAP preferred), designing interactive experiences and visual storytelling.
Quick learner and proactive communicator, able to jump into projects and collaborate efficiently.
Understanding of brand development; able to integrate and reflect our established identity.
Experience working in WordPress environments.
Excellent attention to detail, with proven ability to work independently and iterate assets as needed.
