About The Role

DLH Corp is seeking a talented and creative Public Health Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. This role involves designing and developing visual content to effectively communicate public health messages and data insights. The position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while requiring occasional in-person attendance at meetings, trainings, or team events. Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; or Washington, DC, to facilitate access to secure office locations for administrative and security procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with public health professionals and communications teams to produce engaging, accessible, and accurate dissemination products that support CDC’s mission to prevent HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, STDs, and tuberculosis.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with digital tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Proven ability to develop and design visual assets for print, web, and social media platforms
Experience creating concept art and visual content for stakeholder review and feedback
Ability to prepare information content and documents from various data sources
Must be able to obtain a NAC clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with HIV prevention promotion campaigns
Previous work with CDC, HHS, or other federal or state health agencies
Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and create visual images for dissemination products including web content, social media materials, fact sheets, and other documents
Design and develop engaging visual assets that effectively communicate public health messages
Utilize data and information from various sources to prepare accurate and accessible content
Ensure all dissemination products comply with established usability standards and Section 508 accessibility guidelines
Support multiple health promotion campaigns through creative visual solutions
Collaborate with public health professionals and communication teams to refine and enhance visual messaging
Maintain consistency in branding and visual standards across all deliverables
