About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Associate to join our dynamic team at Design Within Reach. Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales, interior design, or customer service is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
Knowledge of modern furniture, interior design principles, and current industry trends.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate store hours.
Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in design or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Sales Associate will be responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience by assisting customers in selecting products that meet their design and functional needs. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, understanding their preferences, and offering tailored solutions from our product range. You will maintain a thorough knowledge of our inventory, including features and benefits of various furniture pieces, to effectively communicate value propositions. Additionally, you will process transactions accurately, manage product displays, and ensure the showroom remains clean, organized, and inviting. Building strong customer relationships and following up on inquiries are essential to fostering customer loyalty and driving repeat business. Collaborating with team members and participating in training sessions to stay updated on new products and industry developments are also part of your role.
