About The Role
The Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s marketing and communications efforts. This position involves creating compelling content, managing digital platforms, executing integrated marketing campaigns, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing social media channels, updating website content, developing email marketing campaigns, and assisting with the production of marketing materials such as flyers and brochures. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent writing skills, familiarity with digital marketing tools, and an understanding of Jewish culture to authentically represent the organization’s mission and values. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful community initiatives and enhance the Federation’s visibility and engagement across multiple channels.
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields
Strong writing and content creation skills, with the ability to develop engaging materials for various platforms
Familiarity with social media management tools and best practices for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
Basic understanding of website management and SEO principles; experience with content management systems (CMS) is a plus
Experience with email marketing platforms and segmentation strategies
Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
Familiarity with Jewish culture, values, traditions, and history, with the ability to incorporate these elements into marketing content
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
Responsibilities
Develop and write engaging content for social media, emails, newsletters, and the website, reflecting the Federation’s mission and values
Manage day-to-day operations of the Federation’s social media channels, including planning, creating, scheduling, and monitoring posts
Assist in planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote events, fundraising, and community programs
Support regular website updates, ensuring content remains current, accurate, and optimized for user experience and SEO
Contribute to the development and execution of targeted email marketing campaigns, including newsletter production and audience segmentation
Collaborate with graphic designers and internal teams to create marketing materials such as graphics, flyers, and brochures
Serve as the marketing liaison for Kehillot, NextGen, Missions, and Partnership2Gether, strategizing campaigns and delivering key assets
Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing reports to inform ongoing marketing strategies and improvements
