Job Description
Compensation: Starting at $60,000-$65,000
As a Project Manager on the Outbound Transportation Team, you will lead and support key initiatives and projects centered around improving shipping costs, shipping speed, and the delivery experience. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are thoroughly organized, stay on track, and that every detail is researched, addressed, and effectively implemented. Additionally, all decisions should be data-driven when possible, utilizing insights to guide actions and optimize outcomes.
Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Project Planning & Execution: Develop project plans that define the scope and timeline. Set up digital tracking systems (e.g., Asana, OneDrive, OneNote) to monitor progress and document information gathered and decisions made. Take responsibility for making decisions and ensuring their execution.
Timeline Management: Establish clear goals and milestones for each project, closely monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary to address delays or changing requirements. Ensure the project maintains momentum with a sense of urgency, while staying on track to meet its deadlines.
Master the Material: Develop a deep knowledge of the project’s content and related systems, including how work impacts both upstream and downstream stakeholders. Be prepared to clearly articulate broad concepts and details with confidence and expertise.
Work with Data: Dive into the relevant data associated with the project, including interpreting key metrics, analyzing trends, and using insights to drive informed decision-making. When applicable, use available tools to manipulate data to answer questions.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the project. Maintain regular communication to provide updates, manage expectations, and address concerns.
Team Management: Coordinate project team members to ensure effective collaboration, timely delivery, and high-quality, accurate outcomes.
Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular project status reports to Leadership. Maintain detailed records of all project-related activities and decisions.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Remote Work Qualifications
Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
Access to a home router and modem.
A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

Experience
Experience in Project Management required.
Education
