Software Engineer (Full-stack)

Why it matters: You’ll design and ship LLM-powered features that change how teams communicate—building agentic tools, smarter workflows, and delightful UI that thousands rely on. You’ll work across the stack (Python/TypeScript/React) and shape our AI strategy alongside product and design.

Go deeper: In this role, you will make an impact to Axios HQ through the following responsibilities:

Build and evolve our flagship Axios HQ product end-to-end
Ship clean, well-tested code and iterate quickly with product/design
Design, deploy, and operate LLM/agent applications (RAG, semantic chunking)
Integrate models via AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, etc.
Deliver production-ready UIs and APIs (React + TypeScript, FastAPI/Django Rest Framework)
Apply LLMOps best practices (versioning, evals, monitoring, cost control)

The details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Axios HQ’s mission and values – raise the bar, stay curious, be inclusive, always, and champion each other – and have the following skills/experience:

5+ years of software engineering, including 1–2 years building LLM/GenAI features
Strong in Python and TypeScript; comfortable full-stack.
Excels in applying AI-aided development practices in development workflows.
Experience with LangChain (or similar) and vector DBs (FAISS/Pinecone/pgvector)
Solid REST API chops (FastAPI/Flask) and modern frontend (React + TS)
Familiar with AI evaluation (RAGAS/DeepEval/FMeval) and data pipelines
Experience building data pipelines.

Axios HQ believes in fair and equitable pay. Base salary for this role is in the range of $145,000-$160,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills.
