About the Position:

Checkmarx is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Full-Stack WordPress Developer. In this role, you’ll own the development and optimization of our public-facing digital properties. You’ll ensure that our website, landing pages, and portal are secure, high-performing and aligned with our brand and demand-generation goals.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Checkmarx’s websites to align with company branding and growth objectives
Build and customize themes, templates, and plugins to support our lead generation, customer education, and product awareness
Implement and manage secure integrations with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and delivery tools
Ensure all web applications follow data privacy best practices, including secure coding standards and regular vulnerability scanning
Optimize sites for speed, SEO, and accessibility, with a focus on enterprise-level performance
Develop custom APIs or integrate external ones to support dynamic content and personalized user experiences
Maintain version control, staging environments, and local branches for reliable deployments
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, security, and integration issues

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field – or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience as a WordPress developer with both front-end and back-end expertise
Proficiency in: Languages:
PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, SQL,
Frameworks: React, jQuery, Bootstrap
Wordpress APIs: REST, WP CLI, custom hooks/filters
Experience managing MySQL databases and optimizing queries for performance
Understanding of web security best practices
Proficiency in version control and agile workflows
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
