About The Role

We are seeking a talented Web Developer/Designer to join our team at DataAnnotation. In this role, you will play a crucial part in training and refining AI models that evaluate and generate design work, including interfaces, layouts, visuals, and user experiences. Your expertise in design will be instrumental in assessing AI outputs, providing detailed feedback, and helping improve the AI’s understanding of aesthetics, usability, and creative quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of AI-driven design tools, making them more intuitive and aligned with human preferences.

The role involves working on a variety of projects, from general AI training to specialized design-focused tasks such as UI/UX critique, product visuals, and aesthetic evaluation. This position is flexible, allowing you to choose your projects and work schedule, whether on a full-time or part-time basis. It is a remote role, open to applicants in the United States, with compensation starting at competitive rates depending on project focus and performance.

Qualifications

Fluency in English, with native or bilingual proficiency.
Background in UI/UX design, web design, product design, or graphic design.
Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and user flow.
Excellent command of grammar, style, and brand voice.
Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience with design evaluation, critique, or AI training is a plus.
Applicants must reside in the United States and have access to PayPal for payment processing.

Note: This is an independent contract position, and applicants should be aware that no fees are required for application or onboarding. PayPal handles all currency conversions from USD.

Responsibilities

Review and critique AI-generated UI/UX designs, mockups, and visual content to assess quality and usability.
Evaluate the correctness, performance, and aesthetic appeal of AI outputs.
Provide detailed, constructive feedback to help train and improve AI models’ understanding of visual and design principles.
Assist in refining AI systems to better recognize and generate aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly design work.
Participate in design-specific projects such as UI/UX critique, product visual assessment, and aesthetic evaluation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI outputs align with human-centered design standards.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness in all evaluations and feedback.
