About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our dynamic team in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in front-end development with expertise in Vue 3 and Nuxt.js, along with proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on modern web applications, utilizing cutting-edge tools and frameworks. The Web Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality digital solutions that enhance user experience and meet client objectives. Candidates must be local to Chicago or willing to relocate, as this position requires on-site presence.

Qualifications

Proven experience in web development, specifically with Vue 3 and Nuxt.js frameworks.
Strong proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript.
Experience with version control systems such as Git and GitHub.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Knowledge of modern testing frameworks, preferably Playwright.
Experience working with CMS platforms like Bloomreach or other modern content management systems.
Understanding of GraphQL, particularly with Apollo Client.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude towards project delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using Vue 3 and Nuxt.js.
Implement new features and optimize existing functionalities to improve user experience.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and project managers to deliver cohesive solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings within an Agile/Scrum team.
Utilize version control tools like Git and GitHub to manage code repositories effectively.
Conduct thorough testing of applications, leveraging frameworks such as Playwright for automated testing.
Integrate and work with CMS platforms like Bloomreach or similar, ensuring seamless content management.
Work with GraphQL APIs using Apollo Client to fetch and manipulate data efficiently.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
