About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Jr. Web Developer/Jr. Creative Technologist to become a vital part of our innovative team. In this role, you will work closely with external web contractors and internal teams to support and enhance our digital platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and updating the company’s website, troubleshooting technical issues related to digital exhibits, and assisting with the deployment of multimedia projects. This position offers a unique opportunity for a tech-savvy individual eager to develop their skills in web development, content management, and digital exhibit technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for emerging digital trends and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to the creation of compelling digital experiences that captivate audiences and support organizational goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a foundational understanding of web development principles and coding. Experience working with content management systems such as CraftCMS and Contentful is preferred, although we are willing to consider candidates with relevant technical training or coursework. Familiarity with Raspberry Pi hardware and deployment platforms like Infobeamer will be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, technical support capabilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential. Candidates should be able to commit to approximately 20 hours per week in a hybrid work environment. Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or coursework considered a plus. A keen interest in digital technology and a willingness to learn are critical attributes for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with external web contractors to implement updates and enhancements using CraftCMS and Contentful.
Support the ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of the company’s website to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Assist with technical troubleshooting and support for in-gallery digital exhibits and multimedia installations.
Bring familiarity with Raspberry Pi-based systems, Infobeamer, or similar lightweight exhibit platforms to deploy digital exhibits effectively.
Contribute to the deployment, testing, and maintenance of multimedia exhibits and other digital projects, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
Stay updated on emerging digital technologies and suggest innovative solutions to enhance digital experiences.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality of digital assets.
