You’ll join the Technology Modernization and Automation team responsible for automation for our Visionworks and Ventures lines of business.

As the Software Engineer Intern, you’ll have the unique opportunity to partner with Software experts and support a dynamic team across its primary functions. You’ll have the unique opportunity to gain a broad range of experience in the many elements that contribute to the daily operations of a multi-faceted enterprise and develop critical business competencies through various tasks. During this internship, you may assist with the following duties:

Support the development and testing of automation platforms including Amelia and UI Path.

Preferred Skills:

Understanding of programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, and Groovy
Experienced with backend frameworks like ASP.NET
Understanding of SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g., CosmosDB, as applicable)
Experience with designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs
Familiarity with Git for version control

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for simple problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Job-Related Requirements:

Facilities to work remotely, including private or semi-private workspace
Access to high-speed internet
Technology will be provided

Education Level: 3rd or 4th year

Degree Target: Computer Science

Program Dates: June 1st to Aug 7th (You must be able to work the full 10 weeks)

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Salary Ranges: $26.50 – $32.50
