Job Description
Do you speak social media like a second language, and would waking up in the morning to get paid to create and post content basically be living the dream?
Are you like, borderline obsessed with the idea of learning more about marketing strategy and marketing channels — helping turn podcast episodes, newsletters, and event highlights into content that people can’t stop sharing?
Have you been accused of being too #aesthetic because you love to create things (graphics, vision boards, your whole dorm room vibe) that are beautiful and pleasing to look at?
Do you get a weird amount of satisfaction from organizing things — whether that’s planning content, managing inboxes, or making systems run smoother?
Do you genuinely love seeing other awesome humans succeed and you may or may not be caught on camera one day ugly crying and/or fist pumping watching iconic women doing iconic sh*t?
If you’re like *nailed it!* then we’re thrilled that our job posting caught your attention! Visionaries is a young, vibrant platform for women entrepreneurs — part community, part media brand — built to help founders expand their networks, access capital, and build extraordinary businesses and lives through powerful connections, curated events, strategic education, and funding opportunities that turn big vision into lasting impact.
We’re looking for a creative, ambitious Marketing Intern to join our tiny but mighty team. This internship offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in marketing strategy, social media management, and digital content creation — with the potential for expanded hours and advancement for the right fit.
This position is fully remote, so you’ll need reliable WiFi, your own computer, and a smartphone with a data plan. You’ll work directly with our founder to bring Visionaries’ brand to life online — repurposing content across platforms, assisting with podcast and YouTube production, managing social media posts, plus a dash of admin assistance with inboxes and things.
To start, you’ll be all-hands-on-deck across our marketing systems. The position looks broad because of this, but over time, the role can evolve to fit what you enjoy the most and are best at while providing a wide range of experience.
Job posting close date: Sunday, November 2
Internship term: start date flexible (no later than January 12; December start available) through June 30, 2026
Details on the Marketing Intern role:
Overview:
Base pay for the Marketing Intern role is $18/hour on a short-term contract
15-20 hours per week through June 30, 2026
Opportunity for growth and/or transition into a full-time role at the end of the contracted term
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create, curate, and schedule engaging social media content that aligns with our brand voice and overall marketing strategy across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
Repurpose existing content (podcast episodes, newsletters, community calls, etc.) into social posts, graphics, captions, and other creative assets that drive engagement and visibility
Assist with podcast and YouTube production — helping upload episodes, format show notes, source clips, and brainstorm creative repurposing opportunities
Support the Founder with ongoing marketing campaigns, event promotion, and brand
Help maintain a consistent, scroll-stopping brand presence across all channels — everything you touch should feel like Visionaries
Monitor social DMs, comments, and inboxes to help keep communication flowing and relationships thriving
Track asset performance and audience insights to inform future content ideas and strategy
Engage with and support our member communities to stay connected to the conversations, insights, and content that inspire asset creation
Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, launches, and content experiments (your ideas will actually be heard here, pinky promise)
Keep marketing systems organized and up-to-date so everything runs like a well-oiled (and… v aesthetic) machine
While this position is fully remote, occasional travel may be required to support live events
The non-negotiables:
Currently in school for (or recently graduated with) a degree in marketing, communications, or business — or commensurate experience
Social media is basically your love language and you are highly tech fluent
Organized to the point your Google Drive has color-coded folders and your to-do lists have subcategories for their subcategories
You’ve got uncanny Canva abilities and understand at least basic video editing for social media
Ability to create written content without using AI (note: we use AI, but are majorly allergic to copy that sounds like it)
You’ve got integrity, self-awareness, and the emotional intelligence of someone who’s been through at least one self-development era
Values kindness, compassion, and human-centric interaction
Easy going, collaborative, friendly demeanor, but allergic to mediocrity — if something’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right
Thrives in working independently while always meeting deadlines + exceeding expectations
The ability to get things done efficiently and without supervision and as an integral part of a small team
Uncanny Googling superpowers and the ability to take initiative and figure sh*t out on your own
Full fluency in English with impeccable written and verbal communication skills
A serious drive and desire to learn more about marketing. We don’t expect you to know everything and will help you learn, but you do need to have a serious natural love for marketing!
“I can’t, “I don’t know how,” and “because we’ve always done it that way” aren’t in your vocabulary
Full working rights within the US
Massive brownie points for:
Working knowledge of the online business industry
Technical knowledge of Descript, ChatGPT, Kit, WordPress / Divi, Notion, Monday, Captivate SquadCast, and/or Mighty Networks
General interest in how AI will shape marketing in the future and eager to keep up with the inevitable changes but also a firm believer in responsible and ethical AI use
Wider knowledge of SEO and marketing in general
