Skills And Competencies
Good attitude with an open mind-set
Should be able to receive feedback and be confident in providing feedback
Python 3+ development skills
Ability to write SQL
Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Agentic AI Coding tools (e.g. Cursor, Windsurf, Github Copilot, etc.)
Understands concepts of parallel programming
Has used geo-spatial libraries
Has used pandas library
Has worked on microservice architecture
Education
Anticipated Bachelor’s Degree computer science or STEM related field
Graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027
Ability to work during program dates: June 1st – August 7th 2026
Responsibilties
Technical Responsibilities
Assist in coding and debugging: Work on small features or bug fixes under guidance
Write unit tests: Ensure code quality and reliability
Participate in code reviews: Learn best practices and improve coding standards
Document code and processes: Maintain clear documentation for future reference
Optimize existing code for performance or readability
Develop internal tools to improve team productivity
Learning & Collaboration
Shadow senior developers: Observe and learn from experienced team members
Attend team meetings: Gain exposure to agile processes like stand-ups and sprint planning
Research new technologies: Explore tools or frameworks relevant to the project
Collaborate on small projects: Pair programming or working in small groups
About The Team/Program
This internship is for CAPE Analytics division in Insurance vertical under Moody’s Analytics. We develop cutting-edge, image-based AI models that extract actionable data for the insurance industry. Our solutions go beyond aerial imagery—we also leverage interior images, along with structured and unstructured data, to derive key attributes used by insurers for rate filing and underwriting.
Team is fully remote and consists of developers located throughout US and Europe.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly range for this position is $35, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
