What You’ll Do
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for executing experiences and social media content that drive brand awareness, engage our communities, and support the Birdeye story. This includes, but is not limited to generating new sales leads, increasing customer retention and engagement, and fueling online conversations supporting the brand vision narrative. The ability to develop an authentic social media story and experiences that build excitement and strengthen the relationships within online communities is vital to the success of the Birdeye brand.
Responsibilities
Manages multiple social channels to deliver key business, brand, and social media objectives
Leads Birdeye’s social media management. Identifies key assets (blog posts, guides, PR, webinars and more) and promotes them on Birdeye social platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.
Writes clear, engaging copy on all social posts, with an eye to increasing post engagement, likes and shares – as well as to drive viewers to Birdeye-hosted resources such as webinars, downloadable guides, videos and more
Leads out-of-the-box social media asset creation in partnership with Birdeye’s creative team: video snippets, GIFs and other rich media content to boost views and engagement
Focuses and is measured on increasing Birdeye’s social media share of voice, relative to named competitors
Leads social media tactics, partnering with Birdeye demand generation, content marketing, creative and product marketing teams
Engages with and amplifies Birdeye’s own customers and partner influencers across social platforms
Requirements
1-2 years of experience leading social media at a B2B-focused company
Writing, spelling and punctuation skills are world-class
Embodies strong organizational skills and is exceptionally detail-oriented
Strong experience working with LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook in particular
Team focused, results- and data-driven
Experience helping to create non-traditional media (video, GIF, other rich media) a plus
