Independently performs overall design, development, and integration of full stack software engineering to address business needs (cloud and/or in-house). Creates “big picture” architectural approaches for design and implementation to guide IT teams. Responsible for ensuring security, performance, manageability, quality, and consistency of architecture and provide technical guidance to internal customers and teams. Conducts research, gathers information, interprets data, identifies requirements, and creates a solution. Defines all aspects of solution development from appropriate technology and workflow to deployment of production ready systems. Evaluates and recommends tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product. Principal Duties Leads the architecture, design, development, implementation, and integration of full stack software solutions, container technologies, and related developer enablement capabilities. Develops/brings solutions to solve difficult issues to support IT and business objectives. Leads analysis of IT or business problems and lead the evaluation, development, and recommendation of cost-effective solutions that meet business and technology requirements. Implements best fit solutions. Leads architecture, design, deployment, and integration of full stack software solutions and ensure all quality and change control standards are met. Conducts root cause investigations and provide recommendations for preventative measures. Proactively address gaps with existing support processes, documentation, etc. and prioritize accordingly. Develops and documents processes, procedures, and best practices. Provides regular status, operational, and change reports. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent – Required Work Experience 4+ years experience developing full stack software architectures and services. Skills And Abilities Strong ability to design solutions that are scalable, secure, performant, supportable, and cost effective – Required Strong full stack software development tools and languages experience with OpenShift, React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL and/or Mongo, API development, and AWS – Required Experience with GitHub Advanced Security – Highly Preferred Strong abilities to simplify overly complex concepts and solutions for stakeholder communications – Required Strong skill in at least one enterprise operating system – Required Strong knowledge of application/data security best practices – Required Strong oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge with negotiating and persuasion skills – Required Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions – Required Strong investigative, analytical and problem solving skills – Required Strong ability to manage multiple projects, set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives – Required Strong ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions – Required Strong skills in customer relationship management and change management – Required Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines – Required What you can expect from RGA Gain valuable knowledge from and experience with diverse, caring colleagues around the world. Compensation Range $104,350.00 – $155,350.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
