SUPERVISORY ORGANIZATION: Resources and Marketing POSITION TITLE: Social Media Specialist REPORTS TO: Director of Digital Strategy LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Exempt THIS POSITION INVOLVES PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Yes THIS POSITION INVOLVES MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: No JOB SUMMARY We share stories of how God is working across North America and present ways in which our social media audience can be part of His kingdom work. With strong visuals, creative ideas, and engaging content, we strategically implement brand awareness to build growth, achieve superior interactions and call our target audience to action. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Social Media Channels Maintain and manage some social media channels where content is largely developed by other teams by posting and monitoring those channels on their behalf. Manage some social media channels by developing, curating, and overseeing relevant and engaging content to reach their target audiences. Content Creation Write unique and engaging content where needed for each social media channel. Create and edit video content for social media and coordinate social media needs with the Video Team. Capture and edit photographic content for social media. Create and edit graphics for social media and other digital platforms. Collect content and stories at various events by collaborating with ministry partners and engaging with the audience. Monitor Content Monitor, listen, and respond to audience interactions in real-time. Collaboration Partner with ministry collaborators to develop distinctive and compelling content for each channel. Target Audiences Expand our online social media community and enhance engagement. Analyze campaign effectiveness based on ROI and adjust strategies as needed. Social Media Trends Stay updated on current trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Undergraduate in Marketing or Communications preferred Proven experience in social media marketing preferred Demonstrates personal creativity and immersion in the social media world, evidenced by personal and professional profiles SPECIALIZED SKILLS Superior consulting, writing, communication, and public speaking skills Balance real-time social media management along with content planning and execution Enthusiastic, creative, and positive, with the ability to work alongside a diverse marketing team. Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each platform can be utilized in different scenarios and across generations. Ability to stay mission-minded and balance a big-picture strategy with day-to-day responsibilities. Photography and light video production skills preferred.
