Your experience in the banking and finance industry will lend itself nicely to provide outstanding, first-in-class support to credit unions – our clients. This is a full-time, exempt, hybrid-remote position that can be located at one of our office sites in Ft. Wayne, IN or Waco, TX. For the right candidate, fully remote work is also an option. We can only consider remote employees who reside in one of the states listed below. The starting salary range is $70,000-$80,000. Who Will Love This Job Someone who is a problem solver Someone who is ready to dive into a 30-year-old product and help modernize it Someone who is driven by high quality standards and implements standards set by the team Someone who is excited to learn new processes, terminology, concepts and code Someone who has a deep curiosity about how Credit Unions and/or banks function As a Software Engineer, You Will Document our processes, products, and APIs Assist with our releases and ensure we remain on schedule Participate in story pointing and estimation activities Review code and provide feedback/participate in pair programming Be an Agile Scrum advocate Help modernize and transform our existing software and write new features for our customers Write and maintain automated tests using tools such as Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Telerik Test Studio, and Grafana k6 You Should Have 2+ years’ experience as a software engineer Experience working with databases such as Progress OpenEdge, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL Experience with Agile Scrum Experience with the Angular Framework or equivalent JavaScript frameworks Experience with a major backend language like C#, C++, .Net, Ruby, Go Strong communication skills and the ability to work well cross-functional A strong product sense, maintain a high degree of empathy for your internal and external users and seek feedback from them about your work A strong sense of development ergonomics, and take pride in understanding your engineer customers Comfort working with ambiguity and get excited about working collaboratively to better define complex problems, figure out solutions, and then execute on them. The ability to strike a balance between speed and quality of features to create durable technology. You thrive on building scalable systems that are robust, failure-resistant, and easy to maintain.
