Video Editor (Freelance) at Twine
Job Description
This role is ideal for a creative freelance video editor and story producer with a passion for documentary-style storytelling. You will take ownership of a testimonial video series, managing the full production process from reviewing interviews and raw footage to crafting compelling narratives for a YouTube audience. The position requires a keen editorial eye, the ability to work independently, and a strong sense of pacing and emotion to bring out authentic stories. You will be responsible for editing, color grading, sound design, and integrating intros, outros, and captions to ensure each video is engaging and polished. While remote work is available, candidates local to the Charlotte/Cornelius area are encouraged to apply.
Deliverables
Review and analyze raw interview footage to identify key storylines and emotional beats
Edit and produce five documentary-style testimonial videos optimized for YouTube
Apply color grading and sound design to enhance video quality and viewer engagement
Add branded intros, outros, and captions tailored for YouTube distribution
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure narrative alignment and timely delivery
Manage project files and maintain organized workflows for efficient revisions
Requirements
Proven experience editing documentary or testimonial videos, with a portfolio showcasing narrative-driven work
Strong storytelling skills and the ability to shape engaging stories from unscripted footage
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Experience with color grading, audio mixing, and captioning for digital platforms
Understanding of YouTube content strategy and audience engagement best practices is a plus
Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines independently
Strong communication skills for remote collaboration
Local to Charlotte/Cornelius preferred, but remote candidates will be considered
